Africa Data Centres (ADC) recently appointed Dan Kwach to the new position of Managing Director for the East Africa Region.
The appointment comes as a promotion that will see Dan ensure the alignment of ADC Leadership structure across different African continent regions.
Mr Kwach becomes the first to assume that role being a new position. He will lead direct and execute the sales strategy for the Africa Data Centres business in the East Africa region. He will direct the business to achieve maximum returns on invested capital and for all Sales operations in compliance with goals, policies, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors.
He will also drive financial growth aligned to key business objectives, delivering profitable sales and market share by achieving revenue targets.
Kenya Data Network takeover
Before the new role, Mr Kwach served as the founding Project Manager in charge of the Data Centre from inception back in 2009 under Kenya Data Network, building the first, Uptime Institute – Tier III Certified Data Centre in East Africa in Nairobi as a result.
Based on the technical experience gained, he thereafter took up the task of being the product manager of the Data Centre.
Mr Kwach was then promoted to the General Manager Role on transitioning to Liquid Telecom Kenya as a Carrier Neutral Data Centre under the brand name East Africa Data Centre – EADC.
He held this position until the new appointment to the role of MD under ADC as the leader of the EA business.
He also had a stint at Altech Sameer East Africa as the Project Manager of the Data Centre.
