Capital FM, NRG among 60 radio frequencies cancelled for non-compliance

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) on Wednesday announced it had commenced regulatory actions against the listed broadcasters and applicants of broadcasting service provisioning licences for failure to comply with the relevant requirements as provided for in the Act.

CA is the regulatory authority for the ICT industry in Kenya with responsibilities in telecommunications, cybersecurity, e-commerce, broadcasting and postal/courier services.

Among the radio station affected are Captial FM, NRG, MU FM, Kegocho among others.

Community and Church-based FM broadcasters have also been listed for non-compliance. Radio Waumini 88.3 FM, Upendo FM and Radio Umoja are among 24 broadcasters whose FM frequenting will be revoked by CA.
