Nairobi’s iconic hotel, Fairmont the Norfolk, has reopened its doors, nearly two years on since its COVID-19 led to closure nearly two years ago.
The establishment reopened yesterday after renovations which have included the redesign of its lounge bar and restaurant.
The hotel is also set to open new facilities including an in-house restaurant and a spa.
“We are looking forward to making Fairmont Norfolk the place to be for social moments, business meetings and intimate events,” said Mehdi Morad Country General Manager and General Manager Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Kenya.
The Fairmont Mount Kenya, Fairmont Norfolk’s sister hotel is also set to reopen in June.
The reopening of the two hotels underlines the continued recovery of the hospitality industry from the COVID-19 economic impact.
