Chef Kabelo toasts his guests

The Fairview Hotel recently held an exclusive Chef’s Table Experience at the Giuseppe Atrium restaurant, hosted by General Manager Bruce Potter and the hotel’s Executive Chef Kabelo Mooketsi.

Filet Mignon

Chef Kabelo and his culinary team prepared a  seven-course meal for the guests offering unique flavour combinations.

Seared Seabass

Speaking about the Chef’s Table Experience, Bruce Potter, the general manager of the hotel, noted, “Fairview Hotel, many years ago, was famous for the fine dining experience in the Pango Restaurant. We are bringing back the old experience with our new Chefs Table Food & Wine Pairing Experience. The Chef’s Table is an interactive Dinner with Our Executive Chef Kabelo. We invite you to discover an extraordinary dining experience. The menu has been created with the highest quality food and wine. You will have your tastebuds taken on an unforgettable adventure from one bite to the next”.

Speaking about the menu for the night Chef Kabelo Mooketsi said, “The environment and the Kenyan people inspired the menu. I decided to try out different local foods by taking risks on what Kenyans are accustomed to and breaking down the barriers to create a new, simple, sophisticated culinary experience. This Chefs table is a new experience and experiment for the local and international guests to familiarize themselves with and embrace.”

You too can dine with the chef! Here’s how to do it.

Whether you are looking to escape the usual date night spot or have reason to celebrate with a group of friends. From 20th October 2022, you can book this experience for 2 – 12 people on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Corporates can also make reservations at any time, with a special request table of 8 – 12 people.
