The Singleton brought together some of Kenya’s top female creatives for an intimate afternoon of food, whisky, art, jewellery and live music at Como in Tigoni, Limuru.

The luxury whisky brand renewed its partnership with Nafasi for the fifth edition of A Taste of Expression, an experience designed to celebrate creativity and craftsmanship in different forms.

This year’s edition featured an all-female line-up of creatives making waves in Kenya’s food, art, music and design scenes.

Guests were treated to a carefully curated journey that included a five-course meal, whisky cocktails, contemporary art, handcrafted jewellery and soulful live performances.

“At The Singleton, we believe that the most memorable moments are those that bring people together through shared experiences,” said The Singleton Brand Manager Simon Lapyem.

He added that the Tigoni edition was particularly special because it highlighted women who are shaping culture through their work.

Steph the Chef serves a five-course experience

Como owner and executive chef Stephanie Kiragu, popularly known as Steph the Chef, led the culinary experience.

Using locally sourced ingredients combined with global influences, she created a five-course menu that encouraged guests to slow down, enjoy the flavours and connect over food.

The afternoon began with The Orchard Prelude, a cocktail made using The Singleton 12-Year-Old, apple and rhubarb, served alongside Limuru Camembert.

Guests also sampled Malindi Harmony, paired with Malindi cod, and Smoked Harvest, whose roasted beetroot and tangerine notes complemented Ruaraka duck.

The main course featured aged beef fillet paired with Highland Ember, a whisky-forward cocktail made with The Singleton 18-Year-Old, sherry and cocoa spice.

For dessert, guests enjoyed Ugandan cacao pudding served with Singleton 18-infused gelato.

Art, jewellery and soulful sounds

Contemporary Kenyan artist Angela Wambui showcased paintings and detailed beadwork exploring emotion, identity and the stories that connect people.

Singer Christine Wambui provided the soundtrack for the afternoon with a soulful live performance that brought warmth and energy to the garden setting.

Pardis Khozoei, the founder of Sculpt Wear, also displayed handcrafted jewellery inspired by architecture, personal experiences and contemporary design.

Her pieces demonstrated how emotions and life experiences can be transformed into wearable works of art.

As the official whisky partner, The Singleton said the event reflected its commitment to celebrating artistry, patience and high-quality craftsmanship.

The experience attracted guests from Nairobi’s creative and lifestyle circles for an afternoon dedicated to women, creativity and self-expression.
