The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) has today officially launched the Changamka Shopping Festival 2022.
Changamka Shopping Festival is a space to create a marketplace that can link SMEs with other manufacturers and their consumers.
The CS Trade and industrialization Betty Maina, KAM Chair Rajan Shah, and KAM director Pankaj Bedi are among the high-level guests at the launch event at Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi.
“We are also committed to improving the markets through initiatives like Buy Kenya Build Kenya and we have just scratched the surface. Unless we become globally competitive we cannot get a share of the export market, this means removing barriers to entry as well as levies by the government to allow competitiveness”, said KAM Chair Rajan Shah.
Shah added that It is their job as the Kenya Association of Manufacturers to ensure they create awareness and market quality products that are locally made.
This initiative has received sponsorship to the tune of Kshs 2.5M from EABL.
