Komothai Girls lynch Form Four boy from Gathiruini School – Police

Must Read

Police are investigating an incident in which a Form Four student, among six boys who sneaked into a nearby girl’s school on Wednesday night, was beaten to death.

The deceased and his colleagues had escaped from Gathiruini Secondary School at night and trespassed to the neighbouring Komothai Girls High School in Githunguri sub-county, Kiambu county.

The incident comes weeks after a fire incident at Komothai, which is still under probe. A report made at the Kigumo Police Station indicated that when the boys made their way into

Phoebe dormitory, the girls started screaming, attracting the attention of security guards, teachers on duty as well as the headteacher.

“In the process, five boys escaped unhurt while one identified as Brian Mbage, 17, was subjected to beatings by students and staff. He sustained injuries on the head,” the report.

He was rushed to Kigumo Level Four Hospital unconscious and died while receiving treatment.

County Director of Education Victoria Mulili said a team from her office and DCI has been dispatched to the ground on a factfinding mission.

“At the moment there is nothing much to comment on the matter,” she said.
