Monkey Shoulder, the premium Scotch whisky made for mixing, has officially launched Old Fashioned Month in Nairobi, a month-long cocktail experience inviting consumers to rediscover one of the world’s most iconic cocktails.
Rolling out this April, the campaign comes to life across over 25 of Nairobi’s leading bars and restaurants, bringing together curated cocktail experiences, bold flavours, and a vibrant social atmosphere. The initiative celebrates the city’s growing cocktail culture while making whisky more accessible and enjoyable for a new generation of consumers.
At the heart of the experience is the Old Fashioned, reimagined with Monkey Shoulder’s smooth and versatile blended malt Scotch whisky. Crafted from a blend of three Speyside single malts and matured in ex-bourbon casks, it delivers rich malt notes, subtle vanilla sweetness, and a gentle spice , making it an ideal base for a balanced and flavourful cocktail.
Throughout the month, participating venues will feature a dedicated Old Fashioned menu built around two signature serves: the Monkey Shoulder Old Fashioned Perfect Serve, a refined take on the classic, and a Bartender’s Old Fashioned Twist, where individual bartenders bring their creativity to life through unique interpretations of the cocktail.
Consumers can expect immersive in-bar experiences designed to encourage exploration, discovery, and social connection ; whether trying the cocktail for the first time or rediscovering it in a new way.
“Old Fashioned Month is about bringing people together and making whisky more enjoyable and accessible. Whether you’re discovering the cocktail for the first time or coming back to a favourite, we want consumers to experience it in a way that feels fresh, social, and exciting.”— Joe Petch, Global Brand Ambassador
