Mbagathi Way has been renamed Raila Odinga way after Nairobi County MCAs passed a motion to effect the change.
This is the fourth road to be renamed this year in Nairobi.
History
In 2005, former Kenya’s Prime Minister Raila Odinga engineered Mbagathi Way, a major road in the country’s capital city Nairobi, as an experiment of concrete road and up-to-date date it has not had any pothole.
The road has now been named after him as an honour of his statesmanship.
