Carrefour Kenya has concluded its 10th anniversary customer appreciation campaign with the official handover of awards to winning shoppers at Two Rivers Mall.

The retailer, which is operated in Kenya by Majid Al Futtaim, rewarded customers through its 10 Years, 10 Million Stories campaign, which ran across all Carrefour stores and the Carrefour App.

The campaign, valued at over KSh20 million, saw shoppers win prizes including brand-new cars, school fee vouchers, home appliances and fully paid holiday trips.

Among the grand prize winners were Cynthia Nyamasyo, Sharyl Patel, Josephine Mwenje and Deep Mota, who received cars and school fee vouchers during the handover ceremony held at Carrefour Two Rivers.

The campaign ran from May 22 to June 11 and was designed to celebrate Carrefour’s 10-year journey in Kenya by rewarding customers who have supported the retailer since it entered the market in 2016.

Over the past decade, Carrefour has expanded to 34 stores across the country and served more than 119 million customers, including 24 million shoppers in 2025 alone.

The retailer also disclosed that it has invested close to KSh15 billion in Kenya and spent more than KSh239 billion with local suppliers since launching operations in the country.

Beyond customer rewards, Carrefour noted that the anniversary campaign was a tribute to the everyday role shoppers have played in its growth, from family groceries and school shopping to household essentials, fresh produce and online purchases.

The retailer currently works with more than 690 Kenyan suppliers, including farmers, manufacturers and small businesses. It also sources 99 per cent of its products locally.

Carrefour further noted that it has created more than 3,000 direct jobs in Kenya and continued to invest in staff development through its Retail Business School.

In 2025, the training programme delivered more than 44,700 hours of training and issued 546 internal training certifications.

As the 10 Years, 10 Million Stories campaign comes to an end, Carrefour said the milestone was both a celebration of its growth and a recognition of the shoppers, suppliers, employees and communities that have shaped its story in Kenya.

The awards handover marked the final chapter of the campaign, with the retailer reaffirming its focus on value, convenience, quality and rewarding shopping experiences for customers across the country.
