Naivas Concludes Kikwetu National Campaign After Rewarding Kenyan Shoppers With Cars, Motorcycles and Household Prizes

Naivas has officially concluded its nationwide Kikwetu consumer campaign, closing a 12 week initiative that rewarded loyal shoppers across Kenya with life changing prizes including cars, motorcycles and household essentials.

The final logbook handover ceremony took place at the Naivas Head Office, where winners received ownership documents for brand new vehicles and motorbikes. The milestone marks the end of one of the largest customer reward campaigns ever run by Naivas, Kenya’s leading indigenous retail chain.

Naivas rewards loyalty through the Kikwetu campaign

The Naivas Kikwetu campaign ran across all branches nationwide and was designed to reward customers simply for shopping at Naivas. The initiative aimed to recognise everyday loyalty while supporting household progress and livelihoods.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, Naivas Chief Executive Officer Andreas von Paleske said the campaign represented shared growth between the retailer and Kenyan shoppers.

“Today is more than the close of a campaign. It is a celebration of how far we have come, together. Naivas began as a small homegrown store in Nakuru, built on trust, hard work and a simple promise to save our customers money. Today we stand as Kenya’s leading retailer, still rooted in community and driven by the belief that progress is best when it is shared.”

The word “Kikwetu”, meaning “ours” in Swahili, symbolised collective progress and everyday resilience across Kenyan households.

“Kikwetu is the feeling when Kenya moves as one. It is the energy of a thousand hustles, the quiet sacrifices and the big dreams that grow from everyday moments. This campaign was our way of honouring that spirit,” he added.

Cars, motorcycles and household prizes awarded by Naivas

Unlike traditional festive promotions, Naivas structured the Kikwetu campaign around rewards with long term impact. Over the 12 week period, Naivas awarded:

Naivas Head of Marketing Florence Saronge explained that the rewards were chosen to reflect the real needs of Kenyan families.

“This was not about rewarding extravagantly for the sake of it. It was about rewarding meaningfully. A motorbike can change how a family earns a living. A car can open new journeys. Electronics bring homes closer to opportunity. Vouchers stretch household budgets. That is what Kikwetu was about, making progress practical and personal.”

One motorcycle winner highlighted the impact of the campaign, saying, “This bike is not just a prize. It is my livelihood. It means better days ahead. Naivas truly rewards its customers in ways that matter.”

Building trust and nationwide participation

Throughout the campaign, Naivas emphasised transparency in prize draws, consistent communication and nationwide participation. The retailer noted that trust has remained central to its growth since its early days in Nakuru.

“To our customers, thank you for your loyalty, your love and for choosing Naivas day after day. You are the heartbeat of this journey. Today we celebrate you. Today we celebrate transformation. This is Kikwetu,” von Paleske said.

Naivas reaffirms commitment to value and community

As the Kikwetu campaign comes to an end, Naivas says it will continue investing in value driven initiatives that support Kenyan households and communities.

Naivas continues to expand its national footprint while maintaining its long standing promise to save customers money through variety, quality products and convenient shopping experiences.

With the success of the Kikwetu campaign, Naivas has reinforced its position as a retailer focused on community driven growth, customer loyalty and shared progress across Kenya.
