Samsung Electronics East Africa has announced the appointment of two seasoned industry leaders to key positions within the organization, enhancing its commitment to delivering innovative technological solutions and exceptional customer experience in the East African region.

1. Anthony Hutia – Head of Mobile eXperience Division, Samsung Electronics East Africa

Anthony Hutia a seasoned professional with a rich background in the technology industry, has been appointed as the Head of the Mobile eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa. Hutia brings a wealth of experience, having previously served with distinction as the Business to Government Manager at Samsung Electronics East Africa. His extensive career also includes a pivotal role as the Marketing Manager Mobiles for East and Central Africa at LG Electronics, as well as six years at Microsoft, where he played a key role in transforming key Enterprise customers during the shift to devices and services.

2. Rahul Kochhar – Business Head, Consumer Electronics Division, Samsung Electronics East Africa

Rahul Kochhar, a veteran in the consumer electronics business, joins Samsung Electronics as the Business Head for the Consumer Electronics Division. Kochhar’s illustrious career includes 22 years at Hotpoint Appliances, where he served as the Commercial Director, overseeing strategic and operational management of the sales and marketing department. In his new role at Samsung, Kochhar will play a pivotal part in expanding the Consumer Electronics business, especially in neighboring markets, bringing his wealth of experience and strategic insights to drive innovation and growth.

These strategic appointments reflect Samsung Electronics’ East Africa commitment to building a world-class leadership team that will drive innovation and bring cutting-edge technology to customers across the diverse portfolio of products and services.
