Samsung Electronics East Africa, in partnership with local retailer Housewives Paradise, has launched a direct-to-consumer digital store in Kenya as the electronics manufacturer expands its online retail presence in the market.
The new Samsung Brand Store, available at samsungbrandstore.co.ke, will allow consumers to purchase Samsung smartphones, televisions, home appliances and other devices directly through a dedicated online platform.
The store is operated by Housewives Paradise and supported by an e-commerce technology and operations provider.
Samsung said the platform is aimed at Kenya’s growing mobile-first consumer market, where widespread internet access and mobile payment services have helped accelerate the adoption of e-commerce.
The company said the digital storefront will complement its existing retail distribution network while providing customers with access to selected products and offers that may not be available through other retail channels.
Online-exclusive products and bundles
The Samsung Brand Store will feature an online-exclusive range of products, including selected colour options, specialised sizes and certain home appliances and mobile devices.
Customers will also be able to purchase curated product bundles, including packages combining flagship smartphones with wearable devices and home-entertainment products at promotional prices.
Home-appliance purchases through the platform will include Samsung’s Signature Service, which provides certified installation, personalised assistance and priority customer support.
Samsung has also integrated WhatsApp conversational commerce into the online shopping experience.
Through the service, customers can initiate product consultations through WhatsApp, receive assistance from sales representatives and track their orders through the messaging platform.
Samsung targets corporate buyers
Alongside the consumer-facing store, Samsung has launched a dedicated business-to-business portal at samsungbrandstore.co.ke/b2b.
The platform targets corporate organisations, SACCOs, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and government agencies seeking to procure Samsung devices in bulk.
Samsung said enterprise customers will also have access to its Knox Manage and Knox Guard services, which are designed to support device management and enterprise security.
“Today, we take a monumental step forward in how Samsung connects with, serves and delivers value to our consumers across Kenya,” said Francis Modi, E-Commerce Manager at Samsung Electronics East Africa, during the launch.
“Today, we officially open the digital doors to the Samsung Brand Store, redefining the e-commerce landscape in East Africa.”
The Samsung Brand Store is now live with inventory covering mobile devices, televisions and smart home appliances.
The platform offers nationwide delivery across Kenya and supports local payment options, including M-Pesa and major payment cards.
Consumers can access the store at samsungbrandstore.co.ke, while organisations seeking bulk purchases can use the dedicated enterprise portal at samsungbrandstore.co.ke/b2b.
