International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest flexible workspace provider, is set to double its presence in Kenya by the end of 2025 with eight new centres planned across Nairobi, Kiambu, and Mombasa.

This expansion, which will grow IWG’s local footprint from 12 to 20 centres, responds to rising demand for hybrid work models in both urban and regional hubs. Recent openings include the 1,000-square-metre HQ at City Mall, Nyali – IWG’s first centre in Mombasa – offering private offices, meeting rooms, and co-working spaces.

IWG Founder and CEO Mark Dixon said, “Kenya is a dynamic business hub. Our flexible model allows businesses to scale efficiently while boosting productivity and employee satisfaction.”

Upcoming locations include HQ centres at The Brick Thindigua (Kiambu), Purple Tower, Fedha Plaza, Nairobi Business Park, and I&M Tower in Nairobi, and Regus 1 Park Avenue.

IWG’s rapid expansion is being driven by partnerships with local property owners seeking to tap into the fast-growing flexible workspace sector, which is projected to account for 30% of all commercial real estate globally by 2030.

The shift comes as Kenya’s business hubs increasingly adopt decentralised, tech-enabled work environments that are reshaping real estate and redefining how and where people work.
