Tatu City has launched Porini Point, a residential enclave for homeowners and investors seeking modern, high-quality apartments in Africa’s fastest-growing new city. The launch of the apartments – which start from KES 7.5 million – comes as Tatu City’s population crosses 6,000 residents and demand for housing far outstrips supply, driven by Tatu City’s safe, holistic environment.

Featuring 570 units across 24 apartment buildings and a total built-up area of 58,000 square metres, Porini Point offers spacious layouts and superior finishing standards that exceed what is typically available in the market. The first phase sold out on launch night, underscoring the strong appetite for quality homes at Tatu City.

Set on a hillside adjacent to the 160-acre Tatu Wildlife Sanctuary, Porini Point embodies the harmony between nature and urban life. The sanctuary, the only urban wildlife reserve of its kind in the world, will be home to indigenous flora and fauna and feature a safari lodge, cultural pavilion, and conservation facilities, giving residents an experience that blends natural tranquility with modern convenience. Residents of Porini Point will have the rare privilege of waking up to breathtaking natural views while remaining steps away from the amenities and conveniences of Tatu City.

“Porini Point is designed to give people more: more space, more greenery, and more convenience,” said Preston Mendenhall, Group COO and Country Head, Kenya, at Rendeavour, the owner and developer of Tatu City. “At an accessible price for families and savvy investors, Porini Point is a place where you can slow down, reconnect, and still be steps away from schools, healthcare, retail, parks, and infrastructure that always works. When you choose Porini Point, you’re not just buying a home; you’re becoming part of a city built for everyday ease and long-term value.”

Porini Point offers a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 54 to 145 square metres. Each home is designed with natural lighting, open layouts, and modern finishes, including a fitted kitchen with a hob, hood, and oven, quartz countertops, SPC parquet flooring, contemporary bathrooms, and private balconies overlooking landscaped courtyards. Residents will have access to a comprehensive suite of amenities, including a clubhouse, gym, swimming pool, barbecue area, children’s play zone, ample parking, and 24/7 CCTV surveillance.

Porini Point connects residents to a complete lifestyle ecosystem. This is made possible by 15 years of infrastructure investment in the city, including reliable 24/7 potable water, 99.7% power uptime, high-speed internet, and 70 kilometres of international-standard paved roads, which ensure a smooth and modern living experience.

With prices starting from KES 7.5 million for a one-bedroom apartment, buyers can benefit from flexible 24-month payment plans, cash incentives, and Sharia-compliant financing options. Tatu City also offers dedicated concierge support for diaspora clients, including assistance with purchase processing, furnishing, leasing, and property management.

Rental yields are expected to reach up to 18%, depending on market conditions. Previous residential developments within Tatu City have demonstrated exceptional performance, with Kijani Ridge appreciating more than 346% in a decade and Jabali Towers recording 13.5% growth in just six months, reinforcing investor confidence in the city’s residential market.

Porini Point further strengthens Tatu City’s position as Africa’s most progressive new city, already home to over 100 businesses and more than 25,000 people who live, work, or visit daily, while advancing Rendeavour’s mission to deliver inclusive, high-quality urban developments valued at over USD 5 billion across the continent.

The first apartments will be ready in Q1 2027, with the entire development completed by September 2029. At full delivery, Porini Point is expected to support around 500 direct jobs and 1,500 indirect jobs during construction, with further opportunities expected in property management and hospitality once residents move in.

Porini Point was unveiled during a live concert headlined by Kora Award-winning Burundian-Kenyan artist Kidum and Homeboyz Entertainment founder DJ John Rabar.
