Following a historic victory in 2025, Hennessy is proud to announce the return of the Hennessy MyWay 2026 challenge. This prestigious global competition once again invites the nation’s most visionary mixologists to showcase their artistry, technical precision, and commitment to sustainable luxury.

Hennessy MyWay is more than a cocktail competition; it is a global storytelling platform. This year’s challenge pushes bartenders to look inward, crafting cocktails that reflect their personal identity and cultural heritage, while looking forward by integrating eco-conscious practices and sustainable ingredients into their creations.

Kenya enters the 2026 season with high expectations and a point to prove. This year’s participants will benefit from the direct mentorship of Billy Kigocha, the Kenyan mixologist who took the world by storm as the 2025 Hennessy MyWay Global Winner.

“Kenya’s vibrant mixology scene is no longer a hidden gem; we are the benchmark,” says the Hennessy team. “By opening doors to 25 local bartenders this year, we are providing a bridge between Nairobi’s talent and the global stage in France.”

The 2026 challenge will be a rigorous three-tier journey designed to test the limits of creativity and skill. Aspiring participants must submit a video of their signature cocktail via HennessyMyWay.com. Submissions must highlight the bartender’s inspiration and their approach to sustainability. Local entries are due by 26th February.

The top three standout mixologists from the digital phase will advance to the National Finals. Here, they will be tasked with developing a second, more complex cocktail concept. One winner will be crowned Kenya’s Champion, securing a spot in the Global Top 25.

The National Winner will then travel to the heart of Hennessy in France to compete against the world’s best. To claim the ultimate global title, they must present a third and final masterpiece to a panel of international experts.

Billy Kigocha, the 2025 Global Winner, noted, “The world is watching Kenya now. As last year’s global winner, my goal isn’t just to see someone win; it’s to see our local talent push the boundaries of what’s possible in sustainable mixology. I’m ready to share everything I learned in France to ensure the title stays right here in Kenya.”

Hennessy invites all Kenyan bartenders who embody the spirit of “Never Stop. Never Settle.” to step forward and define the future of modern mixology. More details can be found at the competition’s website https://hennessymyway.com/
