Individuals or corporates are now focusing on the best value spent on advertisement. The media with the highest reach yet is cost-effective is preferred to the more expensive traditional media.

For the longest time, traditional media have been the preferred media for news placement or advertisements. However, the internet revolution has brought about other emerging media such as news blogs, podcasts, and social media just to name a few.

Studies have shown that online news has surpassed traditional media in terms of reach and influence. Some key findings include:

  1. Increased accessibility: Online news can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, making it more convenient for people to stay informed.
  2. Greater diversity of sources: The internet offers a wider variety of news sources, allowing people to access multiple perspectives on a single issue.
  3. Real-time updates: Online news can be updated in real-time, allowing for faster dissemination of information.
  4. Interactive elements: Online news often includes interactive elements such as videos, photos, and polls, making the news experience more engaging for the reader.
  5. Younger audience: Studies have found that younger generations are more likely to get their news from online sources, which suggests that online news will only continue to grow in popularity.

As mentioned earlier, one of these emerging media is news blogs. A news blog is a type of website that features regularly updated articles and commentary on current events, often written in a personal or informal style. News blogs often focus on a specific area of interest or niche, such as politics, technology, or entertainment, and aim to provide readers with timely and relevant information.

News blogs typically feature a mix of original reporting, aggregation of other news sources, and opinion pieces. News blogs can be created by individuals, journalists, media organizations, or any other entity with an interest in sharing information with a large audience.

But why choose news blogs for advertisement?

Firstly, SEO and Google Search: The first thing customers do when they hear about your product and services is to “Google”. Consider working with news blogs if you want to appear on top of the first page.

Secondly, is immediacy: News blogs can be updated in real-time, quickly disseminating the news and amendments can be made in minutes.

Thirdly, is customization: Blogs can be written on a specific topic, allowing for a more focused and specialized approach to news thus convincing the target audience better.

Additionally, interactivity: Blogs often include interactive elements such as comments, polls, and social media integration.

Accessibility is another important aspect: News blogs are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. Users nowadays prefer to verify any ad by reading about it on news blogs.

Furthermore, the aspect of multiple perspectives also known as storytelling: News blogs often feature contributions from various writers, providing a variety of views on a single issue and that is what you want.

The most important aspect of advertising on news blogs is the ability to track the actual reach, interactions and feedback in real-time. This feedback is crucial in making any clarification or adjustments to product/service offerings for maximum impact.

In conclusion, corporate have ignored the important role played by news blogs. Corporations are now setting aside huge budgets for advertisement and storytelling on new blogs. This is a welcome move as the internet continues to revolutionise how target audiences consume news and advertisements.
