Are you a fan of superheroes and vehicles? If you are, then you’re going to love Batwheels! This action-packed, adventure-filled show is already taking the airwaves by storm, captivating young and old alike since its debut in March. The new Batwheels series is available for watching on Cartoonito Africa.

But how did the producers come up with the idea of creating a Batman show for kids? According to Michael G. Stern, the Executive Producer of Batwheels, they wanted to present the same Batman that adults know and love, but in a way that kids could also appreciate. By introducing the crime-fighting vehicles as the kid’s character, they were able to make the show multi-generational, allowing Batman fans of all ages to enjoy it together.

Creating a show that appeals to both kids and adults is no easy feat, but the team behind Batwheels was up for the challenge. Simon J. Smith, the Supervising Producer, said they wanted to keep the legitimacy of Gotham and Batman while also making sure it was fun and age-appropriate show. By combining computer-generated cars and characters and blending them with 2D animated elements, they achieved a Saturday morning cartoon feel that kids would love.

But what about the villains? Some might think they could be too scary for young children, but Michael says otherwise. The Batman villains in Batwheels are colourful, fun, and goofy, reminiscent of the classic 1966 Adam West show. And for adults who love Batman, the show offers the bonus of seeing Ethan Hawke take on the villains and characters in the Batman family.

Diversity was also a huge goal for the team behind Batwheels. They wanted everyone to be able to see themselves in the show, whether they were preschoolers, 8-10-year-olds, or teens. They even introduced the first African American Robin on screen, taken from a true DC character, Duke Thomas, hoping it will inspire young children of colour worldwide.

So, whether you’re a die-hard Batman fan or just love cars and superheroes, Batwheels is a show that’s worth checking out. And who knows? You might even find yourself enjoying it more than the kids!
