Confirmed: Sauti Sol to feature with Boyz II Men at Stanbic Yetu Festival set for Uhuru Gardens

Sauti Sol, the award-winning Kenyan band famous for their hit song “Sura Yako,” has been announced as the Kenyan artists’ headline act for the upcoming Stanbic Yetu Festival. The festival will take place on Saturday, June 10th, 2023, at the Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi, and is a collaboration between Stanbic Bank and Radio Africa Group.

Sauti Sol will perform a selection of music from their five albums and one EP, which have been well-received locally and globally. The band was also recognized in 2021 by the Recording Academy for their contribution to Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album, Twice as Tall.

According to Lilian Onyach, Head of Consumer and High-Net Worth and Ag. Head of Brand and Marketing, “We are excited to have Sauti Sol perform at the upcoming 2nd Edition of the Stanbic Yetu Festival. They will help create a soulful and unforgettable musical experience for Kenyans and beyond.”

The event will occur at Uhuru Gardens, a sprawling 68-acre piece of land in Lang’ata, 15 minutes from Nairobi city centre. It is a National Monument and Museum under the management of the Kenya Defence Forces, promising adequate and high-level security for attendees.

Stanbic Bank, which shares a deep heritage in Kenya spanning over 111 years, is committed to promoting Kenyan landmarks like the Uhuru Gardens and the arts and music industry. The bank believes in celebrating homegrown talent and contributing to the growth of the entertainment industry to boost the country’s economy and create more opportunities for Kenyans.

The Stanbic Yetu Festival aims to showcase the power of music to connect people and bring to life Stanbic Bank’s brand promise “IT CAN BE,” by creating a truly magical live musical experience for Kenyans to enjoy.
