Makini Schools, part of the ADvTECH Group, is set to revolutionize education with ADvLEARN, an innovative digital learning tool utilizing adaptive AI technology to enhance learning outcomes. The platform, fully operational in all Makini Schools by May 2024, has already positively impacted over 13,500 students across 36 ADvTECH campuses.

ADvLEARN creates a secure online environment, offering personalized assignments for real-time progress monitoring by teachers. The platform provides precise insights into each student’s strengths and weaknesses, enabling tailored teaching to address specific learning gaps and fostering a more effective educational experience.

Data analysis by ADvTECH reveals that students regularly engaging with ADvLEARN experience significant improvements in subject grades, with progress rates ranging between 15% and 29%. This showcases the potential effectiveness of embracing technology in education.

To support this initiative, a significant Sh.150 million investment has been allocated for infrastructure upgrades across all Makini Schools in Kenya. This includes expanded Wi-Fi accessibility, state-of-the-art projectors, and sound bars, ensuring a seamless transition to online lessons. Additionally, Makini teachers will receive the latest devices and training to enhance their teaching capabilities.

Mr. Horace Mpanza, Makini Schools Regional Managing Director, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “ADvTECH is committed to delivering digital innovation in education, enhancing academics and equipping students with tools to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of modern learning.”

Upon completing the infrastructure upgrade, Makini teachers will undergo training facilitated by ADvTECH’s Central Academic Team, led by Academic Director Ms. Desiree Hugo. The ADvLEARN rollout is scheduled to commence in May, with Ms. Hugo expressing confidence in its transformative potential, stating, “We are confident that ADvLEARN will usher our schools into the next phase of tech-enabled learning by leveraging the benefits of AI. Our community of teachers in Kenya has shown great enthusiasm for the platform, and we look forward to its successful integration into learning at Makini.”

ADvTECH has already implemented ADvLEARN in 36 schools in South Africa, with over 150 teachers and more than 13,000 students using the platform. This widespread implementation solidifies ADvTECH’s position as a leader in pioneering educational solutions.
