The new promotion comes just a few days after the bank raised the interest rate on deposits in the Absa Digital Savings account to 10% per year, up from 9% per year, commencing December 12, 2023, and valid until the end of March 2024.

Speaking about the campaign, Absa Bank’s Head of Liabilities, Simon Gachahi, said: “Through this sponsorship, we are connecting deeply with Kenyans and our customers through football—one of the most loved and followed sports in the country. We share the passion and excitement of the Premier League through activations, events, and exclusive experiences with legends and players, not just locally but across the continent.”

The Bank has a long-standing commitment to nurturing sports in the country, recognising the vital role it plays in society. Over the last decade, Absa Bank has invested over KES 1.2 billion in Kenya’s sports sector, spanning athletics, football (through the Premier League sponsorship), and golf.

“Through this campaign, we are empowering Kenyans in retail or business with the financial assist, just like in football, to achieve their goals and aspirations. Our long-term aim is to strengthen our relationships with our customers where they can benefit from their deposits and hard-earned savings,” he added.

The exciting prizes are as follows:

●        Daily Draws: 90 lucky winners will walk away with KES 10,000 each.

●        Weekly Draws: 12 winners will enjoy a generous prize of KES 50,000.

●        Bi-Weekly Draws: 6 participants stand a chance to win an impressive KES 250,000.

●        Monthly Grand Prize: One fortunate winner will secure an impressive KES 1,000,000.

To participate, Kenyans are encouraged to open a current or savings accounts with Absa Bank Kenya and start depositing to qualify for the daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly draws. Deposits can be made conveniently at any time through various channels, including M-Pesa Paybill 303030, cash-accepting ATMs, Absa branches, and Postbank outlets, our agency banking partners.
