The Open Lanes Varsity Invitational by On Running Kenya is heading into its final showdown, bringing the heat with a live performance line-up featuring Bensoul, Charisma and Ywaya Tajiri on 3rd October 2026 at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Fans and participants will be treated to a day of live performances from Kenya’s leading artists and DJs including Ywaya Tajiri, Charisma, and Bensoul, who will light up the stage as they headline the event.
Bensoul will bring his signature soulful sound and dynamic live energy to the finale, taking fans through some of his much-loved hits including Extra Pressure, Favorite Song, Nairobi, and Nakufa.
Charisma will bring his crowd-pleasing energy and powerhouse vocals as he performs Urao, Sina Noma, among others.
Lastly, Ywaya will bring to the stage his high-energy style performance delivering fan favorite hits including Money Over Love, Chai Ya Saa Kumi, among others.
Final Showdown.
After weeks of intense knock-out competition, the qualifying 3 teams from Kenyatta University, Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA), Riara University, Strathmore University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and the University of Nairobi (UoN) will take to the track for a final battle for the grand prize of a fully paid trip to South Africa for a race experience.
The university athletes will compete at the final showdown on Saturday 3rd October 2026 where the qualifying 18 teams battle out for the grand prize. The stakes are higher than ever as the athletes prepare for an action-packed finale where they will compete on a national stage for an opportunity to prove themselves, claim the title and leave their mark on the Open Lanes Varsity Invitational.
