Carrefour has officially launched SHARE in Kenya, bringing its flagship rewards programme to all customers across the country. The launch introduces more ways for customers to earn and redeem points, access exclusive offers and enjoy greater value from their everyday shopping, all through the existing Carrefour app.

Building on Carrefour’s established presence in Kenya, SHARE will reach customers across 35 stores, the majority located in Nairobi, while tapping into an existing loyalty base of approximately 1.4 million MyClub members. This marks an important step in enhancing the customer experience and strengthening Carrefour’s relationship with shoppers in one of East Africa’s most dynamic consumer markets.

Darren Taylor, Senior Vice President, SHARE Rewards and Customer Solutions, Majid Al Futtaim, said: “Carrefour has built a strong relationship with customers across Kenya, and SHARE is about rewarding that relationship in new and more meaningful ways. By joining millions of SHARE members across the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Oman, customers in Kenya will benefit from a more connected and personalised experience, with greater value every time they shop. Ultimately, our goal is simple: to bring customers closer to everything Carrefour has to offer and make every shopping experience more rewarding.”

Designed to make everyday shopping more rewarding, SHARE allows customers to earn points on every Carrefour purchase, both in-store and online, with a base earn rate of 0.25%. To celebrate the launch, customers can also enjoy a range of additional benefits, including a welcome offer of up to 4,500 SHARE points, double base points through SHARE Mondays, and birthday rewards offering 20% back in points on eligible purchases. Members will also benefit from exclusive discounts and personalised offers across Carrefour and participating partners, unlocking even more value beyond their regular grocery shopping.

The SHARE experience will be seamlessly integrated into the existing Carrefour app, eliminating the need for customers to download a separate rewards application. Existing MyClub members will automatically transition to SHARE within the Carrefour app and will simply need to accept the updated terms and conditions and select their marketing preferences to access the new experience.

New customers can download the Carrefour app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and register for SHARE membership to start earning points and accessing the programme’s full range of benefits.

The Kenya launch further strengthens SHARE’s regional presence, building on its established footprint in the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Today, SHARE serves over 15 million members across the region and continues to evolve beyond traditional loyalty into a broader commerce ecosystem connecting rewards, offers, payments and discovery through more seamless customer experiences.
