As digital risks continue to evolve, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 provides a structured framework for identifying and managing information security risks. For Crown Paints, which operates across multiple East African markets and manages extensive commercial and customer data, the certification signals adherence to globally recognised best practices and regulatory requirements, including Kenya’s Data Protection Act (2019).

“Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is a significant milestone for Crown Paints and reflects our commitment to protecting the information entrusted to us,” said Mustafa Tuura, Group Chief Executive Officer of Crown Paints. “As we continue to expand across the region, this strengthens our ability to manage risk, enhance resilience, and uphold the highest standards of governance and data security.” He added.

The certification is expected to enhance stakeholder confidence, support compliance, and improve the firm’s’ competitiveness in Kenya and regional markets. It also embeds a culture of security across the organisation, ensuring that information protection remains a core business priority.

The paint firm continues to position itself as a responsible, forward-looking company, committed to safeguarding data while delivering sustainable growth across the region.
