Emirates and the National Basketball Association (NBA) have teamed up in a multiyear partnership. Emirates is now the NBA’s Official Global Airline Partner. This partnership brings several perks, including Emirates becoming the first title partner of the NBA Cup and the NBA’s first-ever referee jersey patch partner.

Emirates will be prominently featured in the NBA Cup events, including Semifinal and Championship games, as part of this collaboration. The Emirates logo will also appear on NBA referee jerseys starting from the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates Group Chairman and Chief Executive, expressed pride in this partnership, highlighting the opportunity to connect with basketball fans worldwide. NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum echoed this sentiment, emphasizing basketball’s global popularity and the exciting prospects of engaging Emirates’ vast customer base.

“We are proud to establish a global marketing partnership with the National Basketball Association to become its Official Global Airline Partner,” said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates Group Chairman and Chief Executive.

The sponsorship extends to various NBA events, such as NBA Crossover and NBA Finals Legacy Project, enhancing Emirates’ visibility. NBA fans can expect Emirates-branded experiences, including in-flight NBA content and exclusive merchandise available online and at the Emirates Store.

Moreover, Emirates’ patch will feature on WNBA and NBA G League referee jerseys in upcoming seasons. This partnership underscores Emirates’ commitment to basketball, building on its longstanding support for the sport in the UAE and Lebanon.

With its extensive global sponsorship portfolio, including partnerships with renowned sporting events and cultural phenomena, Emirates aims to strengthen its connection with basketball enthusiasts worldwide. This partnership is set to enhance Emirates’ reach, particularly in the U.S., with its presence in 12 major American cities.
