MultiChoice Adjusts DStv, GOtv, and Showmax Prices in Kenya Effective August 1st, 2025

MultiChoice Kenya has announced a new price adjustment for its DStv, GOtv, and Showmax services, set to take effect from 1st August 2025. The move, part of the company’s annual subscription review, reflects the evolving operating environment while aiming to maintain quality entertainment and affordability for customers.

Under the new structure, DStv and GOtv packages will see moderate increases, while Showmax prices will be reduced, making the streaming platform more accessible to a broader audience.

DStv Packages (KES):

  • Lite – 750
  • Access – 1,450
  • Family – 2,250
  • Compact – 4,200
  • Compact Plus – 7,300
  • Premium – 11,700
  • XtraView – 1,700

GOtv Packages (KES):

  • Lite – 299
  • Value – 599
  • Plus – 999
  • Max – 1,699
  • Supa – 2,199
  • Supa Plus – 3,199

Showmax Subscription Changes

Showmax users will benefit from reduced pricing across both mobile and standard options:

  • General Entertainment: KES 650 → 550
  • GE Mobile: KES 300 → 200
  • Premier League Mobile: KES 500 → 450
  • GE + PL Bundle: KES 1000 → 800
  • GE Mobile + PL: KES 700 → 520

DStv for Business – New Rates

Stay Package:

  • Ultra – 3,370
  • Essential – 2,510
  • Basic – 1,580

Play Package:

  • Ultra – 15,650
  • Essential – 9,950
  • Basic – 5,700
  • XtraView – 2,990

Work Package:

  • Ultra – 5,850
  • Essential – 2,050

Add-Ons:

  • Business Asia, Europe, or French add-on – 500 each

MultiChoice reiterated its commitment to investing in local content and innovating across its platforms to ensure that customers get the best of local and international programming.

“These adjustments are made with the aim of remaining sustainable and competitive while continuing to offer high-quality entertainment and customer experience,” the company added.

The revised prices will apply automatically from August 1, and customers are encouraged to review their packages or explore the more affordable Showmax offerings.
