The continued growth of padel in Nairobi will be on display later this month when Networks Open Season 2brings players back to Networks Padel Village from 25 to 30 August 2026.

The tournament arrives just months after more than 250 athletes competed at the Carrefour Open hosted at Networks Padel Village in June, highlighting the growing pool of both competitive and recreational players taking up the sport.

Season 2 will expand the competitive opportunity with nine categories spanning Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite levels. Players will compete for more than KES 600,000 in cash prizes, while the Top Kenya 4.5+ category will feature some of the country’s strongest-ranked competitors.

The multi-level format reflects one of padel’s defining characteristics: relatively new players can enter organised competition while more experienced athletes continue developing at the top end of the sport.

“Networks Open has quickly established itself as one of the country’s signature padel tournaments,” said Sylvia Mugweru, Club Manager at Networks Padel Village. “Season 2 is bigger, more competitive, and designed to continue growing the sport while delivering an exceptional experience for players and spectators alike.”

Weekday matches will take place between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with weekend competition running from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The tournament is expected to bring together players, spectators, families and members of Nairobi’s wider padel community for six days of competition and social engagement.

Registration is now open at KES 8,000 per team, or KES 4,000 per player. Entries will be reviewed using Playtomic ratings to support fair competition across categories.

Players can register here or through the official Networks Open registration platform.
