Safaricom has today rolled out Family Share plan, a new proposition that brings together Home Fibre and mobile connectivity, giving customers a convenient way to stay connected at home and on the go.

The plan allows new and existing Safaricom Home Fibre customers to add up to five family members to their plan and share mobile data or minutes, creating a more integrated connectivity experience for the whole family.

Through Family Share, customers can combine their Home Fibre service with mobile voice, data and SMS benefits under one proposition, providing greater flexibility while making it easier to manage the connectivity needs of their households.

Speaking during the launch, Safaricom Chief Consumer Business Officer Fawzia Ali said the new proposition is part of the company’s efforts to deliver more value and convenience to customers.

“People work, learn, travel, explore and stay connected across different spaces, and they want greater value without added complexity. That is why we have introduced the Family Share plan for both new and existing Home Fibre customers across the country. As part of our Pata More initiative, the plan reflects our commitment to delivering greater value through affordable, convenient connectivity solutions. With Family Share, we aim to keep customers seamlessly connected, whether at home or on the go,” said Fawzia.

Family Share is a converged fixed-and-mobile solution that allows customers to share mobile data and voice resources with up to five family members, with the convenience of a converged or single bill.

Safaricom’s Fibre to the Home (FTTH) service has continued to grow, with active customers increasing by 27%. The proportion of connected homes with active subscriptions has also risen from 66.8% to 71.0%, highlighting the continued uptake of home connectivity services.

The offering strengthens Safaricom Home’s customer value proposition, building on significant speed upgrades at no additional cost while bringing home and mobile connectivity for greater convenience and value. It provides households with a unified solution for their communication needs, making connectivity expenses more predictable and manageable.

Starting at KES 3,749, customers can enjoy speeds of 40 Mbps and share either 750 voice minutes or 14 GB of mobile data with up to five family members.

Customers can purchase Home Fibre or 4G and 5G Wi-Fi plans through My OneApp, by dialling *400#, or by visiting Safaricom shops and authorised dealer outlets.
