Kenyans are set to experience the thrill of the Safari Rally live as the 2026 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally airs on DStv and GOtv, giving motorsport fans a front-row seat to one of the world’s toughest rally events.
Fans across the country will be able to watch the Safari Rally live as the world’s top rally drivers tackle Kenya’s rugged and unpredictable terrain in Naivasha.
This year marks the third consecutive year that MultiChoice Kenya is the official broadcaster of the event, further cementing its commitment to bringing world-class motorsport closer to Kenyan audiences.
Speaking ahead of the rally, Nzola Miranda, Managing Director of MultiChoice Kenya, said the company is proud to bring the Safari Rally live to viewers across the country.
“The Safari Rally is one of the most iconic motorsport events in the world and a proud moment for Kenya on the global stage. We are proud of this continued sports content investment. At MultiChoice, we are committed to ensuring our customers never miss these defining moments. Through DStv and GOtv, fans across the country will be able to follow every stage of the Safari Rally live, with expert commentary and in-depth analysis that truly brings the excitement of the WRC to life,” he said.
The rally will be broadcast on DStv Channel 228 on the Family package and above, and on GOtv Channel 64 from the GOtv Plus package and above.
“Fans can tune in from as little as KSh 999 on GOtv to watch the Safari Rally live, and catch key rally moments at their convenience via DStv Stream for as low as KSh 2,250. We are proud to continue building a growing tradition of rally broadcasting, and viewers can also look forward to the upcoming WRC series airing later in the year,” Miranda added.
The Safari Rally Kenya will be flagged off on March 12, 2026, at the Wildlife Research and Training Institute in Naivasha, and will conclude on March 15, 2026, at the scenic Hell’s Gate National Park.
A total of 46 drivers, including 17 Kenyans, will compete across 20 gruelling stages in the rally.
The entry list features some of the biggest names in global rallying including Elfyn Evans, Sébastien Ogier, Thierry Neuville, and Grégoire Munster.
Kenya’s flag will be carried by local stars including Karan Patel, the reigning African rally champion, and Hamza Anwar, as they compete on home soil against the world’s best drivers.
The event marks the fifth edition since the rally returned to the World Rally Championship calendar and serves as the third round of the 2026 WRC season, following the Monte Carlo Rally and Rally Sweden.
