Rubis Energy Kenya has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) to introduce an exclusive fuel program that will provide significant savings and operational efficiencies for travel agents across the country. This strategic partnership underscores Rubis’s commitment to creating solutions that empower industries and businesses critical to Kenya’s economy.

Through the agreement, KATA members will access personalized Rubis fuel cards offering a KES 4 per litre discount across Rubis’s extensive retail network nationwide. The program, available in both prepaid and postpaid formats, is designed to deliver convenience, enhanced security, cash flow flexibility, and simplified fuel management for travel agencies and their staff.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Olivier Sabrié, Group Managing Director of Rubis Energy Kenya, said: “At Rubis, we recognize that travel and tourism are vital pillars of Kenya’s economy, and travel agents play a key role in keeping this sector vibrant. By partnering with KATA, we are making it easier and more affordable for them to run their operations. This partnership is not just about fuel savings, but also about empowering an industry that connects Kenyans to the world and fuels economic growth. Rubis is proud to be a trusted partner in this journey.”

The collaboration also reflects Rubis Energy Kenya’s wider strategy of aligning with sectors that create jobs, drive growth, and deliver services essential to national development. By tailoring solutions to specific industries, Rubis is positioning itself as more than a fuel provider strategic enabler of progress for businesses and communities alike.

Dr. Joseph Kithitu, KATA’s Chairman, added that the association is delighted to collaborate with Rubis in providing members with cost-saving solutions, emphasizing that the partnership reflects KATA’s continued commitment to enhancing efficiency and value for travel agents in Kenya.

KATA members can register for the fuel cards through the association by submitting the required documentation, after which Rubis will manage issuance and distribution to guarantee timely delivery and smooth access.
