SuperSport has announced that select French Ligue 1 McDonald’s football matches will now be available in English across Africa, following the league’s broadcast partnership with CANAL+, the new owner of SuperSport.

Fans got their first taste of French football action on Friday, 17 October 2025, when Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) drew against RC Strasbourg, marking the beginning of a new era for Ligue 1 coverage on Your World of Champions.

Throughout the month, SuperSport viewers will enjoy matches featuring top French clubs such as Monaco, Marseille, and Lyon. The network will air up to three Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches each weekend, showcasing world-class players including Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé and rising star Désiré Doué, bringing the excitement of French football to millions of screens across Africa.
