Fred Omondi is Dead. The former Churchill Show comedian Fred Omondi, brother to popular comedian-cum-activist Eric Omondi, died in a road accident, police confirmed on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on Kangundo Road near Caltex Petrol Station. Police reports indicate that the bodaboda (motorbike taxi) carrying Fred collided head-on with a speeding bus. The bus was travelling towards Nairobi’s Central Business District from Kayole, while the bodaboda was heading in the opposite direction and was reportedly on the wrong side of the road.

Friends, fellow comedians, and fans have taken to social media to mourn Fred’s untimely death. Comedian Terrence Creative shared his grief, stating, “Fred, I thank God for the time He gave us together bro. You’ve been part of my career and growth in the industry. You always treated me as a brother and hosted me when I had nowhere to go.”

Musician Nameless also mourned him, commenting, “This is too much… life is fragile! Rest well Fred! Such sad news! Heartfelt condolences to the family!!”

Fred Omondi, known for his performances on the Churchill Show, was celebrated for his comedic talent and vibrant personality. His death marks a significant loss to Kenya’s entertainment industry.
