President William Ruto flagged off Kenyan troops to the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo for a peacekeeping mission . Ruto reaffirmed his governments commitment to the peace of the region so as to unlock its potential for shared prosperity. The head of State called for African solutions to African problems saying Kenya was not going to sit by as armed groups continue to attack civilians and destabilize the region.
