Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has opened its Emirates World store in Nairobi, marking the first launch of its reimagined retail concept in Africa. Located at the modern Cube on Riverside Drive, this new store aims to enhance the customer experience with an immersive design, blending personalised consultations with innovative self-service technology.

The Nairobi Emirates World store offers travellers a chance to explore the airline’s signature amenities firsthand. Designed with an open-plan, lounge-like interior of over 330 square metres, the store incorporates Emirates’ distinctive light and airy colour scheme, inviting customers into a warm, welcoming environment. Visitors can engage with a life-sized model of the A380 Onboard Lounge and snap pictures at the “selfie mirror,” which features scenic backdrops from Emirates’ global destinations.

Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the region, inaugurated the store alongside His Excellency Dr Salim Alnaqbi, UAE Ambassador to Kenya, and several distinguished guests, trade partners, and media representatives. Speaking at the event, Al Ghaith expressed the airline’s enthusiasm for introducing this concept to Kenya, saying, “We are pleased to bring our reimagined retail store concept to Africa for the first time, elevating our customer experience in Kenya, and then in more destinations across the continent in the coming months. The Emirates World store provides a flavour of the signature experience we offer, from friendly and insightful staff to hands-on showcases that bring our ‘Fly Better’ promise to life.”

With six customer service counters staffed by expert consultants, the Emirates World store offers support for ticketing, itinerary planning, and insights into Emirates Holidays—the airline’s tour service, which specialises in bespoke travel experiences. Additionally, self-service kiosks allow customers to make travel arrangements at their convenience, reducing wait times and ensuring a seamless journey.
