Today, Google announced that Search Live is expanding globally, enabled by the launch of its new voice and audio model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live. Google is also expanding Google Translate’s live interpreter headphone experience to iOS devices (already available on Android) and bringing it to more countries.
Here’s an overview of today’s news:
- Search Live has launched globally, for all languages and locations where AI Mode is available. With this expansion, people in more than 200 countries & territories can have real-time conversations with Search in AI Mode, using both voice and camera.
- Introducing Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, Google’s latest voice and audio model. The new model is inherently multilingual – enabling the global expansion of Search Live – and delivers even more natural and intuitive conversations for users. Available for:
- Developers via the Gemini Live API in AI Studio in preview
- Enterprises through Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience
- Consumers in Search Live and Gemini Live globally
