In a world where living spaces often feel cramped, there’s a stereotype that men cram their tiny rooms with one spectacularly large TV and that makes them very happy. While this might sound like an exaggeration, we asked Collins Injera, the retired rugby hero and proud father of three, who told us why investing in a large top-tier TV can be life-changing.

From Rugby Star to Home Entertainment Guru, Injera is now a Samsung Electronics East Africa influencer. Injera recently shared his journey with the latest Neo QLED 8K TV, and his excitement is palpable.

When Samsung reached out to Injera about their new Neo QLED 8K TV, it felt like serendipity. His old Samsung TV had met an unfortunate end courtesy of an indoor mini-golf mishap involving his son. The timing was perfect for an upgrade, especially given his long-standing relationship with the brand, which has extended from phones to kitchen appliances.

“My home is essentially a Samsung showroom,” Injera chuckles. “My wife often asks about my brand loyalty, and I joke that I don’t question her cooking choices, so why should she question my tech preferences?”

Injera, a sports enthusiast and avid home cook has been exploring every inch of his new Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV. The standout feature for him? The TV’s unparalleled picture quality.

“With the Olympics season in full swing, the clarity of this TV was nothing short of breath-taking,” he enthuses. “You can practically see the sweat on athletes from across the room. The colour accuracy is stunning, making you feel like you’re right there at the event.”

He highlighted the joy of watching his brother, Humphrey Kayange, another rugby legend, from the vibrant clarity of the Neo QLED 8K TV. “My kids were amazed, saying they could see Uncle’s white hair! Being able to share such vivid moments with my family has been priceless.”

The Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV boasts Quantum Dot technology, delivering over a billion shades of colour and razor-sharp images. Its AI Upscaling feature turns lower-resolution content into nearly 8K quality, breathing new life into classic shows and movies.

Injera is also impressed by the TV’s audio capabilities. “The AI Sound features are incredible. The Q-Symphony technology has created a rich, immersive surround sound that eliminates annoying echoes. The convenience of controlling everything with one remote has been a game-changer.”

Injera has been putting the TV’s smart features to the test. The AI Optimization, powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor, adjusts picture and sound for an immersive experience. The Multi View function has been a particular hit, allowing him and his kids to enjoy different content simultaneously—no more family arguments over what to watch!

He’s also been delighted by the TV’s integration with Tizen, Samsung’s smart platform. “Being able to control the TV from my phone, even from my bedroom, showcases its IoT capabilities. It’s a glimpse into a future where everything is seamlessly connected.”

The Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV’s sleek Air Slim design blends effortlessly into any room. And the SolarCell Remote Control, powered by both indoor and outdoor light, is a nod to sustainability, reducing battery waste.

Injera sees this TV as more than just a home entertainment device. “AI is the future,” he asserts. “This TV is just the beginning. It’s exciting to think about a world where everything responds to our needs.”

“To say it’s met my expectations would be an understatement,” Injera concludes. “It’s completely surpassed them. From its energy-saving Eco solution to its versatility for gamers, sports fans, tech aficionados, and movie buffs, it’s an all-in-one powerhouse. Every day, I discover something new, which keeps the experience fresh and exciting. It’s not just a TV; it’s a centrepiece of our home entertainment that continues to surprise and delight us.”

Collins Injera’s experience with the Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV is a testament to how cutting-edge technology can elevate everyday life. Whether you’re a sports fan, movie lover, or tech enthusiast, this TV promises an immersive and transformative viewing experience.
