Kenya Airways (KQ) has teamed up with Air Europa, Spain’s third-largest carrier, to broaden its European and American reach. Under this codeshare agreement, Air Europa passengers can now reach Nairobi from Amsterdam, while Kenya Airways customers gain access to Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, New York, and Miami.
This partnership enhances travel convenience, offering benefits like single-ticket purchases, seamless check-ins, and minimal connection times. Kenya Airways will apply its codes to four Air Europa routes: Amsterdam-Madrid, Madrid-Palma de Mallorca, Madrid-New York, and Miami. Conversely, Air Europa will use its code on Kenya Airways’ Amsterdam-Nairobi flight.
Martin Gitonga, Kenya Airways’ Head of Network Planning and Alliances, expressed enthusiasm, highlighting the collaboration’s benefits for travelers. The alliance underscores Kenya Airways’ partnership strategy revival in 2022.
Estelle Leray, Air Europa’s Director of Alliances, praised the agreement, emphasizing the opportunity to meet growing demand in the region.
Kenya Airways remains committed to its role in connecting Africa with the world, continuously seeking strategic partnerships to enhance guest experiences and global connectivity through its Nairobi hub.
