Mombasa is poised to become Africa’s new epicentre for Artificial Intelligence as Kenya prepares to host the continent’s first dedicated AI conference—AIPAC 2025. Scheduled for August 25 to 28, the landmark event will attract over 1,500 global technology leaders, investors, researchers, and government policymakers.
The four-day summit will serve as a pivotal moment for Kenya’s tech ambitions, offering a platform for dialogue on ethical oversight, policy frameworks, cross-border talent development, and AI-driven innovation across sectors such as education, agriculture, health, finance, climate, public governance, manufacturing, and trade.
“This is more than a conference—it is a platform to shape Africa’s AI future and open global doors for Kenyan ingenuity,” said Harun Katusya, Director and Chairman of the AIPAC 2025 Secretariat.
Beyond panel discussions and keynote addresses, the event will facilitate investor-startup matchmaking and foster international collaboration among academic and research institutions. Venture capitalists from around the world are expected to engage directly with Kenyan tech entrepreneurs, with a focus on scalable AI solutions tailored to African realities.
Katusya emphasised the strategic nature of the summit, calling it “a pivotal step in aligning Africa’s AI ambitions with global standards and trends.”
By hosting AIPAC 2025, Kenya positions itself as a continental thought leader and digital innovation hub. Mombasa, in turn, stands to gain as a symbol of the continent’s AI-powered future.
