The participants will compete in a series of physical, mental, team and driving challenges designed to test their skills, endurance and teamwork.

Among those expected at the event are South African actress and media personality Nomzamo Mbatha and Moroccan television presenter Hicham Masrar.

Speaking ahead of his departure, King’ara described the opportunity as an important milestone in his career and a proud moment for Kenya’s growing automotive content industry.

“I am incredibly honoured to represent Kenya at the Shell V-Power Games in Budapest. What started as a passion for creating automotive content has opened doors to an amazing global opportunity,” he said.

King’ara added that he was looking forward to flying the Kenyan flag, interacting with international creators and attending the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix.

Over the years, the creator has built a following by producing vehicle reviews, driving experiences, automotive industry insights and other content targeting motoring enthusiasts.

His selection highlights the growing influence of Kenyan digital creators, particularly those producing specialised content within the country’s automotive sector.

Vivo Energy Kenya Managing Director Peter Murungi said King’ara’s participation would place Kenyan talent on a global platform while helping the company connect its performance story with customers.

“We are delighted to have George King’ara represent Kenya at the Shell V-Power Games. Seeing a Kenyan creator stand alongside over 60 other international creators reflects the growing influence of our creative industry,” Murungi stated.

He noted that the initiative was also intended to inspire the next generation of motoring enthusiasts and provide local creators with access to international opportunities.

The Shell V-Power Games are linked to Shell’s long-running technical partnership with Scuderia Ferrari, through which the two brands have worked on fuel and performance technologies for motorsport and road vehicles.

Fans will be able to follow King’ara’s journey through behind-the-scenes footage, competition highlights, voting information and leaderboard updates shared on Shell Kenya and Shell Motorsport’s social media platforms.
