Mildred Agoya Appointed Head of Marketing at Tecno Mobile Kenya

Mildred Agoya, a seasoned marketing and communications professional, has been appointed the new Head of Marketing at Tecno Mobile Kenya, marking a significant milestone in her career. Agoya announced the news via her official LinkedIn profile.

Agoya brings to the role more than a decade of experience in strategic marketing, brand development, public relations, and team leadership across several reputable firms. Most recently, she served as Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Kenya and Nigeria at realme, a position she held from November 2020 to June 2025. During her tenure, she led go-to-market strategies, drove customer acquisition efforts, and managed high-impact campaigns that cemented realme’s presence in key African markets.

Prior to her new role at Tecno Mobile, Agoya also worked as a Marketing Communications Consultant at Apptivate Africa, a hybrid role she held from September 2023 to June 2025, further demonstrating her versatility and adaptability in dynamic environments.

Her earlier career includes senior leadership and consultancy roles at organisations such as Jiji Communications Ltd, EnM Group, Red Giant Media Agency, and African Laughter. Notably, at African Laughter, she managed communications for clients such as Liquid Telecom Kenya (now Liquid Technologies), Davis & Shirtliff, and Hass Consult Real Estate, among others.

With her extensive background in campaign execution, digital marketing, CRM, and team management, Agoya is expected to drive Tecno Mobile Kenya’s marketing strategy to new heights, especially at a time when the mobile industry in Kenya continues to experience rapid growth and fierce competition.
