In a brief statement, Njugush said their decision to part ways was made after careful thought and was rooted in mutual respect.

“Last year, we made the decision to part ways after much thought and with mutual respect,” he said.

Even as fans react to the unexpected news, Njugush made it clear that their family remains at the centre of everything.

The comedian explained that he and Celestine have continued to co-parent and support each other, with their children remaining their top priority.

“We have been co-parenting and our children remain our top priority. We continue to support one another and kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this next chapter,” he added.

Njugush did not disclose what led to the separation, instead appealing to the public for privacy as they adjust to this new season in their lives.

For years, Njugush and Celestine have been seen as one of Kenya’s strongest celebrity couples, winning over fans through their comedy, relatable content and business ventures.

Together, they built a powerful public brand, becoming one of the country’s most recognised creative duos in the digital space.

Their announcement now marks a major shift for the pair, whose journey together had inspired many of their followers.
