Paymentology appointed Kesheni Moodley as its regional director for Africa, signalling a renewed push to capture growing demand for cloud first issuing infrastructure as banks and fintechs across the continent modernise their payments systems.

The global issuer processor said Moodley will lead efforts to expand programme management capabilities, deepen client relationships and grow its footprint across African markets, where mobile first adoption and real time payments continue to accelerate.

Paymentology has operated in Africa for several years, working with banks, fintechs and mobile money providers to develop card based and digital payment propositions using modern processing technology.

Moodley brings more than 20 years of experience across the ICT, payments and enterprise technology sectors. She joins from South African payments firm Ozow, where she most recently served as chief commercial officer after several years leading client success. At Ozow, she helped shape commercial strategy and supported the expansion of real time payments adoption.

Before that, she spent nearly six years at Accenture in senior roles focused on operations consulting, business transformation and enterprise sales. Earlier in her career, she held client executive and business development roles at IBM and Siemens.

Anna Porra, Paymentology’s chief revenue officer, said Moodley’s mix of commercial leadership and regional market knowledge would be central to the company’s growth ambitions in Africa.

“Her ability to balance growth, client value and operational excellence will be critical as we continue to support fintechs and banks across Africa in building resilient, scalable and locally relevant payment products,” Porra said.

Moodley said digitisation was reshaping payments across the continent as expectations rise for always on and inclusive payment experiences.

“Paymentology enables issuers to scale with confidence,” she said. “I am excited to work closely with clients and partners to support the next phase of growth across Africa.”
