At CES 2024, Samsung Electronics took center stage by showcasing a myriad of innovative technologies and creative ideas developed through its in-house venture and start-up accelerator, Samsung Creative Lab (C-Lab). With a total of 15 projects and start-ups on display, spanning fields such as AI, healthcare, and energy, the spotlight of this year’s convention was undeniably on Artificial Intelligence.

One notable participant in this AI-driven extravaganza was Goose Labs, a C-Lab spin-off leader, introducing “FIVA,” an AI-powered metaverse home fitness app. In a world where physical activity often takes a backseat, Goose Labs aims to make exercising at home enjoyable by leveraging AI motion capture to mirror users’ movements with avatars. With live classes led by expert trainers in various fitness domains, Goose Labs showcased how technology can seamlessly integrate into our daily lives, transforming home fitness in the metaverse.

Seo-Hee Lee, a representative at Goose Labs, expressed optimism about the impact of their debut at CES 2024, stating, “Being part of the ‘C-Lab family,’ I’m hopeful that this event will be even more impactful.” Looking ahead, Goose Labs is eager for feedback to enhance its services and continue making waves in the evolving landscape of AI-driven fitness.

Another standout at CES was RebuilderAI, a 3D technology start-up that received full support from Samsung’s C-Lab Outside program. RebuilderAI’s groundbreaking AI solution, “VRIN 3D,” earned the company a CES 2024 Innovation Award. This technology allows users to create high-quality 3D content simply by using a smartphone camera to capture surroundings, eliminating the need for studios or expensive equipment.

Junghyun Kim, the founder of RebuilderAI, emphasized the importance of technology streamlining the creation of 3D assets, leading to the development of “VRIN 3D.” The solution has applications in various industries, including marketing, manufacturing, design, construction, and real estate. RebuilderAI plans to gradually expand its services, making 3D content creation accessible to a broader audience.

Both Goose Labs and RebuilderAI exemplify the forward-thinking approach of Samsung C-Lab start-ups in paving the way for the future of AI. The diverse range of AI technologies showcased at CES 2024, from fitness apps to 3D content creation, reflects Samsung’s commitment to fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve in our everyday lives.

As CES 2024 drew to a close, Samsung C-Lab start-ups left an indelible mark, earning one Best of Innovation Award and 22 Innovation Awards. With their visionary ideas and groundbreaking technologies, these start-ups have undoubtedly set the stage for the continued evolution of AI in the years to come.
