The launch comes amid rising demand for pickup trucks in Kenya. According to Kenya Motor Industry data, new vehicle sales grew by 24.8 per cent to 10,944 units between January and August 2026, while pickup sales increased by 52.6 per cent to 2,949 units. Over the same period, CFAO Mobility Kenya recorded more than 20 per cent growth in Hilux sales to 850 units.

The new model features a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine producing 150kW and 500Nm of torque, a six-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drive and a towing capacity of 3,500kg. It also offers fuel efficiency of 12 kilometres per litre and ground clearance of 312mm.

Speaking during the launch, CFAO Mobility Kenya Managing Director Arvinder Reel said the new model builds on the Hilux’s long-standing reputation among Kenyan businesses.

“The Hilux has earned the trust of generations of Kenyan customers because it has consistently delivered what they need to get the job done,” said Reel.

The vehicle comes with a five-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty, supported by CFAO Mobility Kenya’s network of more than 50 branches, dealerships and authorised service centres countrywide.

CFAO Mobility Kenya plans to expand the range in 2027 with the introduction of 2.4-litre and Single Cab models, targeting customers with different business and transport needs.
