The European Commission has formally requested detailed information from three major adult content platforms—Pornhub, Xvideos, and Stripchat—regarding the measures they have implemented to protect minors and prevent the dissemination of illegal content online.
These platforms are required to submit comprehensive information by July 4, detailing their age assurance mechanisms and other risk mitigation strategies.
This request is part of the enforcement of the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA), which imposes stringent regulations on online content providers. Under the DSA, companies must comply with data sharing requirements, conduct risk management, and undergo independent audits.
The Commission also has the authority to levy fines for any inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading responses. This initiative underscores the EU’s commitment to enhancing online safety and accountability for digital services.
