“Roadside emergencies are among the most common incidents experienced daily across Kenya,” said Caitlin Dolkart, Co-founder of Rescue.co. With Roadside by rescue.co, we’re extending our trusted network and cutting-edge technology directly to Kenya’s roads, offering peace of mind to drivers, fleet operators, insurers, and businesses.”

Kenya’s high rate of road-related emergencies makes reliable roadside assistance an essential service. According to the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), Kenya recorded over 4,000 road traffic fatalities and more than 18,000 total road traffic accidents in 2023 alone, highlighting the serious risks drivers face on the road and the need for rapid, coordinated emergency response. With unpredictable traffic conditions, long travel distances between towns, and a growing number of vehicles on both urban and rural roads, drivers face increased exposure to emergencies that can quickly escalate without timely intervention.

Rescue.co has been offering roadside support as part of its emergency response services since 2018. Now, recognizing the significant demand for dedicated roadside assistance, Roadside by rescue.co has been formalized as a standalone product, complementing Rescue.co’s existing annual membership cover and short-term evacuation service, Safetravels.

Already, Roadside by rescue.co has established partnerships with leading businesses and insurers, including Glovo, Bolt, ICEA Lion, JW Seagon, and numerous other corporates, fleet managers, and micro-insurers. These collaborations underscore the trust and reliability associated with the Rescue.co brand.

Roadside by rescue.co offers unmatched speed and coverage, eliminates lengthy insurance pre-approval processes and provides immediate assistance from the most extensive and largest network of over 1,000 professional responders, including 200+ dedicated roadside specialists and access to more than 800 ambulances nationwide.

Philip Fricke, Director for Road Rescue added “Understanding the critical importance of mobility and vehicle safety to Kenyans, we’ve created Roadside by rescue.co to ensure drivers have immediate, professional help whenever and wherever they need it.”

The service is available immediately for individual drivers, families, corporate fleets, insurance brokers, e-commerce, and ride-hailing services. Customers can purchase an annual membership online or inquire about volume-based discounts for businesses at roadside.rescue.co.

Rescue.co remains dedicated to its mission: creating a world where high-quality emergency response is just minutes away—no matter who you are or where you are—and Roadside by rescue.co is the latest advancement towards realizing this vision.
