Solarise Africa, a pan-African Energy-as-a-Service company, and RUBiS Energy Kenya – a subsidiary of Rubis Energie, a leading player in the energy sector, announce the launch of RUBiSOL, a joint venture focused on providing renewable energy solutions to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) clients across East Africa. This partnership marks a significant milestone in RUBiS Energie’s commitment to accelerate its transition efforts towards renewable energies and decarbonation, with Solarise Africa as the chosen partner to achieve this goal.

The primary objective of RUBiSOL will be to advance solar and other renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial (C&I) clients across East Africa. This strategic initiative will significantly advance the energy landscape, providing reliable and affordable decentralised energy solutions for businesses in the region. RUBiS Energy Kenya will also be installing solar panels on its’ stations and depots to meet its decarbonation objectives.

Jan Albert Valk, Co-Founder and CEO of Solarise Africa, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with RUBiS Energy Kenya to drive the adoption of renewable energy across East Africa. Solarise Africa, with its extensive footprint of 79 contracted sites across South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, totalling just over 24MWp, brings its pan-African decentralised energy solutions (DES) expertise to RUBiSOL. This partnership aligns with Solarise Africa’s commitment to advancing decentralised energy solutions for businesses in Africa, providing a robust pipeline for growth.

For RUBiS Energy Kenya, this partnership marks a significant step in delivering renewable energy targets alongside direct, tangible benefits to customers. Through its collaboration with Solarise Africa, RUBiS Energy Kenya is expanding its offerings to include a locally produced, eco-friendly power source that is reliable, cost-effective, and accessible.
