China has successfully launched a new experimental satellite into space, marking another milestone in its expanding space programme.

The satellite, Shiyan 33 satellite, was deployed on Friday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, a key launch site in the country’s northwest.

Liftoff occurred at 12:11 pm Beijing Time aboard a Long March 2C rocket, supported by the Yuanzheng-1S upper stage. The satellite was successfully inserted into its designated orbit, according to official reports.

The mission also marked the 635th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series, underscoring the continued reliability and frequency of China’s launch operations.
