Collaboration aims to enhance the adoption of blockchain technology and support Web3 developers in East Africa

ICP Hub Kenya has announced a strategic partnership with Kotani Pay for the Olympus Accelerator Programme. This collaboration aims to enhance the adoption of blockchain technology and support Web3 developers in East Africa.

ICP Hub Kenya, a leading tech hub dedicated to promoting the Internet Computer in the region, and Kotani Pay, an on-ramp/off-ramp infrastructure provider connecting Web3 users to local payment channels, will leverage their combined expertise and resources. Their goal is to drive blockchain innovation and support aspiring developers through the Olympus Accelerator Programme.

Kotani Pay’s infrastructure facilitates seamless integration of blockchain protocols and fintech solutions into local payment systems. It employs USSD technology, enabling users to access blockchain networks without internet connectivity, making it accessible even to feature phone users. This partnership will enhance the mentorship and resource availability for participants of the Olympus Accelerator, supporting their journey from development to market entry.

ICP Hub Kenya will play a crucial role in selecting and nurturing high-potential projects within the programme. Their ongoing support and guidance will ensure that participating ventures receive the necessary resources and opportunities to thrive.

Yvonne Kagondu, Co-founder of ICP Hub Kenya, expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating, “Participants stand to benefit from cutting-edge technological support, invaluable industry insights, and seamless financial integration.”
