Naivas Supermarket, Thursday, hosted a celebratory logbook handover ceremony at its Head Office in Nairobi, officially issuing ownership documents to winners of its festive Kikwetu promotion. The lucky customers drove away with one new car and ten motorcycles, marking another milestone in the retailer’s long running commitment to rewarding customer loyalty and supporting everyday progress.

Speaking during the ceremony, Naivas leadership said the event was about more than prizes, describing it as a moment to honour the shared journey between the retailer and Kenyan families over the past three decades.

“Today is more than a handover. It is a celebration of how far we have come, together,” said Naivas Chief Executive Officer, Mr Andreas Von Paleske. “Naivas began as a small, homegrown store in Nakuru, built on trust, hard work, and a simple promise to Save You Money. Today, we stand as Kenya’s leading retailer, rooted in community, driven by people, and powered by a shared belief that progress is best when it is shared.”

Mr Von Paleske said this philosophy sits at the heart of the Kikwetu campaign.

“Kikwetu is how Kenya moves as one. It is the rhythm of a thousand hustles, the shared wins, the everyday moments that quietly grow into big dreams,” he added.

This year, Naivas expanded its festive rewards programme beyond traditional seasonal giveaways, creating a platform designed to unlock real opportunities for shoppers across the country. The current Kikwetu campaign features six new cars, 45 motorcycles, a wide range of home appliances and electronics, thousands of shopping vouchers, and traditional festive rewards including the much loved Kikwetu goats and capons.

Naivas Head of Marketing, Ms Florence Saronge, said the aim was to create impact that goes beyond the festive season.

“Beyond our legendary goats and capons, we wanted to transform lives in real, lasting ways,” she said. “A motorbike can power a livelihood. A car can begin a new chapter. Electronics bring homes closer to possibility. Vouchers change what tomorrow looks like. That is the spirit of Kikwetu.”

Winners who received their logbooks at the ceremony expressed excitement and gratitude, praising Naivas for the transparency of the promotion, the simplicity of participation, and the credibility of the process.

In a message to customers nationwide, Naivas said, “To our customers, thank you for your loyalty, your love, and for choosing Naivas week after week. You are the heartbeat of this journey. To our winners, thank you for shopping with us, believing in us, and being part of the Naivas family. Today, we celebrated you. Today, we celebrated transformation. This is Kikwetu.”

Naivas continues to expand its footprint across Kenya, maintaining its promise of value, convenience, quality, and community empowerment through every store it opens and every customer it serves.
